  • Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) must be maintained throughout enrolment

  • Applies to: All enrolled and conditionally accepted students
  • Effective: 1 March 2024
  • One deferral of up to 12 months may be granted per program
  • Scholarship conditions must be reviewed before deferral is approved
  • Medical, compassionate, or compelling circumstances considered for extended leave
  • Students must re-enrol by the deadline or the offer lapses

  • Students must confirm enrolment by the census date each semester
  • Non-payment of tuition by census date results in automatic withdrawal

Single Conditional Offer

Domestic students may hold only one conditional offer at a time.

Identity Verification

All offers are subject to final year results and identity verification.

Address Changes

International students must advise changes of address within 7 days (visa compliance).

Program Transfers

Program transfer requests must be submitted before Week 2 of semester.

Enrolment Load Changes

Scholarship holders must notify the university of any change in enrolment load.

Concurrent Awards

Scholarships cannot be held concurrently with external awards exceeding 50% of fees.

Vice-Chancellor's Award

The Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship covers full tuition for 3 years.

RTP Living Allowance

Government-funded RTP scholarships include an annual tax-free living allowance.

  • Formal credit assessed on content equivalency, not institutional reputation

  • Maximum credit granted: 50% of the total program credit points
  • Credit does not transfer monetary value or GPA from prior institution

  • Applies to: Students with non-formal learning, industry experience, or vocational qualifications
  • Effective: 1 July 2024
  • Evidence portfolio required: work samples, employer references, certifications
  • RPL assessment conducted by the relevant Faculty within 20 business days
  • Partial RPL may be granted at the unit level
  • Appeals must be lodged within 10 business days of the RPL decision

⬆️ Advanced Standing Assessment Policy

  • Applies to: Students with completed qualifications at AQF Level 5–8
  • Effective: 1 January 2025
  • Block credit available for completed diplomas and advanced diplomas
  • AQF equivalency table used for standard assessments; faculty review for non-standard
  • Advanced standing does not change program duration guarantee
  • Students must still satisfy all core and compulsory unit requirements

🏫 Cross-Institutional Study Policy

  • Applies to: Currently enrolled students seeking units at another institution
  • Effective: 1 March 2024
  • Pre-approval required from Faculty before enrolment at the other institution
  • Maximum 25% of program credit points via cross-institutional study
  • Grades from external institutions counted in GPA calculation
  • Students remain bound by the Academic Integrity Policy throughout

30-Day Finality Rule

Credit transfer decisions are final after 30 days unless new evidence is provided.

Partial RPL

RPL is assessed holistically β€” partial credit is awarded where full credit is not possible.

Continued Enrolment

Cross-institutional study requires the student to remain enrolled at Tarelium Education.

Diploma Advanced Standing

Diploma holders may receive up to 1 year of advanced standing in eligible programs.

  • Students on academic probation may not enrol in more than 2 units per semester

AI Disclosure Required

Generative AI use must be declared in all submitted work where applicable.

Re-mark Grounds

Grade re-marks are only available if the marker demonstrably made an administrative error.

Support Continues

Students on academic probation retain full access to all support services.

Anonymous Assessment

Special Consideration applications are assessed anonymously by the Faculty board.

Student clubs may request subsidised venue bookings up to 4 times per semester.

Spam Act Compliance

All digital outreach communications comply with the Spam Act 2003.
